Six months after arriving at the Puntaldia Shipyard, this Riva 68 Ego Super has been restored to the character, elegance and prestige that have always defined its legacy.

From the initial Refit & Repair concept through to the final delivery, every stage of the project was planned, coordinated and supervised directly by Elica.

A remarkable achievement, especially considering the scale of the work involved, the level of craftsmanship required and the extensive research undertaken to preserve the yacht's authenticity.

A Transformation True to Its Identity

The refit restored the depth and brilliance of the exterior surfaces, completely renewed the teak deck and brought the interiors back to their original aesthetic standards.

The new carpeting, carefully selected in consultation with the Riva Shipyard, blends seamlessly with the yacht's wood finishes, leather upholstery and polished stainless steel details.

The interior flooring has regained its original brightness and uniform appearance, while the bedding, quilts, linens and mattresses were recreated through meticulous research into the original materials, colours and manufacturing techniques.

The result faithfully respects the yacht's original identity, restoring the exclusive atmosphere that defines a genuine Riva.

For this reason, Elica works exclusively with carefully selected partners who possess extensive experience working on premium yachts while respecting their materials, construction techniques and intrinsic value.

Each stage of the refit was entrusted to professionals with whom we have built long-standing relationships based on shared standards of precision, reliability and uncompromising quality.

Bringing together specialists from different disciplines allowed us to coordinate every aspect of the project—from exterior finishes and teak decking to interior restoration and technical systems—while maintaining a single, cohesive vision throughout the entire process.

Elica's Direct Supervision

The yacht was transferred to the Puntaldia Shipyard to allow our team to oversee every phase of the refit personally and continuously.

Throughout the entire six-month project, Bruno Dessì personally inspected the yacht at least once every week.

Each site visit ensured that we could:

monitor the quality of every stage of the work;
verify materials, colours and finishes;
coordinate all specialist contractors involved;
ensure the work remained fully aligned with the approved project;
promptly address any new requirements;
maintain constant communication with the owner.

This direct supervision is one of the defining features of the Elica approach: every yacht is personally managed from the day it enters the shipyard until the moment she returns to the sea.

Final Inspections

Completing the refit marks the beginning of another equally important stage: inspection and testing.

Before delivery, the yacht underwent comprehensive checks to verify the correct operation of every system affected by the refit and to ensure the overall quality of the finished project.

Final inspections included verifying the integrity of all completed work, testing onboard systems and assessing the yacht's performance during sea trials.

During navigation, particular attention was given to:

helm response;
trim and stability;
vibration and noise levels;
operation of onboard systems;
instrument readings;
quality and durability of the finishes;
overall performance and behaviour of the yacht.

Sea trials provide the opportunity to evaluate the yacht in her natural environment and to perfect every final detail before delivery.

Back Where She Belongs

When the Riva 68 Ego Super departed the shipyard, every element had been restored to perfect balance.

The anthracite hull once again reflects the light, the new teak deck enhances her unmistakable profile, and the interiors have regained the refined atmosphere envisioned in the original design.

Behind this visible transformation lies six months of planning, coordination, research, craftsmanship and constant supervision.

The yacht retains her sporting spirit, her iconic proportions and the unmistakable charm that defines every great Riva.

She is now ready to return to the sea and begin a new chapter with her owner.
